Fairview Manor, located at 75 Spring Street in Almonte, is a long-term care home owned and operated by
the Almonte General Hospital. The new Manor, which opened in April 2007, is home to 112 residents. It
provides all levels of long-term care, including a special care unit for residents with memory loss.
The Manor offers programs within a long-term care environment that respect residents' individuality,
dignity, privacy and personal choice, while meeting their physical, functional, psychosocial and
cognitive needs. The Manor provides a secure unit for residents who require close monitoring.
Fairview Manor is served by general practitioners and a variety of other health care professionals providing
a continuum of care, including nurses, personal support workers, and health care aides. It has a general
rehabilitation program, which includes physiotherapy,
occupational therapy, and therapeutic recreation.
Through Lanark County Mental Health, the Manor has immediate access to a mental health crisis resource
team to help it treat mentally ill patients.
Fairview Manor is regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The Almonte General
Hospital and Fairview Manor are fully accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation.
